Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) — Open; One Ticket Now Works for Three Days

✅ OPENLast verified: October 19, 2026Sources: Huangshan Scenic Area Administration (hsgwh.huangshan.gov.cn, 2026 pricing policy) and Huangshan City government release

The short answer

Open on its 2026 "flat/peak" pricing, which runs January 21 – December 19, 2026. The big practical change in recent years: a standard ticket is valid for three consecutive days with unlimited re-entry — if you know how to activate it.

  • Mandatory shuttle bus from the south gate transfer center to the trailheads: CNY 19 each way.
  • Park hours run roughly 08:00–16:40 entry on the current timetable.

The three-day ticket, done right

  1. Buy the first-day ticket on the official "黄山旅游官方平台" mini program.
  2. You must physically check in on day one — booking alone does not activate the multi-entry right.
  3. For re-entry on days two and three, book the "多次进山门票" (multi-entry) option in the same mini program; entry is by passport/ID.

What first-time foreign visitors keep getting wrong

  1. Private cars can't reach any trailhead. Everyone transfers at the gate complex — the CNY 38 round-trip bus is unavoidable.
  2. Cableways are per-leg, one-way. A typical up-and-down by cable adds CNY 160–180 per person on top of the ticket.
  3. Winter pricing starts December 20 and everything drops ~20% — if your dates flex, the week after Dec 19 is the cheapest the mountain gets all year.
